The Batman director Matt Reeves has revealed in a new interview with FurNation magazine, the publication of record for the furry community, that his version of Selina Kyle/Catwoman will be a furry.
“I’ve been trying to make a furry character ever since I was writing Felicity. I originally wrote Scott Speedman’s character as a furry but ABC shot that idea down. I tried making the apes in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes all people in furry costumes but Fox refused. Warner Brothers isn’t afraid of taking a risk and now Catwoman can finally be a furry,” Reeves said in between questions about his fursona.
Reeves continued, “In my version, Selina grew up watching Zootopia and discovering aspects of herself she never knew, a new world opened up to her. She’s still the same wily and acrobatic cat burglar we all know and love but now she’s even more sensual and more seductive.”
Word has is that Reeves is looking to cast a major star despite his plan to never have Catwoman take off her costume. And thanks to our sources deep within the production, we’re able to publish this exclusive pic of her new look!
