Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Here’s what we know so far!

Last month at San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios announced their Phase Four slate of movies and TV series. One upcoming project that Marvel fans can’t seem to get enough of is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness! And we’ve got the exclusive inside scoop on everything you need to know about this upcoming film!

  1. It’s definitely a movie: A movie is a series of still images that when played back to back create an illusion of movement. As the art has evolved, sound has been added to the experience, giving audiences an extremely immersive story telling medium. According to our sources, the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will definitely be an example of a story told through a series of images and audio.
  1. It will likely follow a three act structure: Over the course of the history of film, people have picked up on certain patterns and forms that can be expected from the medium. Often when telling a story through the art of filmmaking, that story will follow a three act structure. According to our sources, it’s likely that Doctor Strange will start the film in a familiar setting but an inciting incident will spring him into action and into unfamiliar territory. He will have to face obstacles to achieve his goals and he will likely come out the other side a changed man from his experiences.
  1. Benedict Cumberbatch is back to play Doctor Strange: An actor is someone who pretends to be someone else for our entertainment. Actors have been seen across many storytelling mediums; plays, television, and film. Benedict Cumberbatch is one of them. According to our sources, he’s also going to be in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, a subtle nod to the fact that he played Doctor Strange in the previous Doctor Strange film, Doctor Strange (2016).
